Na Mea Hawai'i & Arts Integration
Nā Mea Hawai’i, translates to “All things Hawaiian”.
Arts integration is defined by the Kennedy Center as “an approach to teaching in which students construct and demonstrate understanding through an art form. Students engage in a creative process which connects an art form and another subject and meets evolving objectives in both” (Silverstein & Layne, 2010, p. 1).

Kamalani Academy engages in Hawaiian cultural practices, protocols, language and arts. Our alaka'i actively engage in the practices they learn from staff and community partners by sharing their mana'o with their families, peers and community.
