MEMBERS

Kamalani Academy is led by an independent, local Governing Board. Members of the Board have expertise in areas such as education, project management, Hawaiian culture, finance, and construction. The Kamalani Foundation is responsible for supporting major projects through fundraising. All Governing, Foundation, and Advisory Boards members are volunteers and work without compensation. Ku’uipo Murray is the Founder and current Board Chair of Kamalani Academy, a K-8, Na Mea Hawaii, arts integration, leadership-focused, public charter school located in Wahiawa, Hawaii, since 2016.

Treasurer

Lani Pili was formerly  the Distance Learning Director at Ignite Academy.  Her professional background includes 16 years of service in a variety of administrative roles at charter schools which include Principal, Site Director, Director of Business and Finance, and Business and Operations Director.

Melia has 20+ years in talent development and spent the first 17 years of her career in K-12 education where she first cultivated a love for education, human and talent development, technology, and system design.
