Melia has 20+ years in talent development and spent the first 17 years of her career in K-12 education where she first cultivated a love for education, human and talent development, technology, and system design. Melia’s love for talent development continues to be evidenced in her multiple contributions to the following fields: Health, Air Transportation, Food & Beverage, Real Estate, Cultural Arts, and K-20 Education.
Education
Melia has a Bachelor’s degree in Education with an emphasis in Sports Medicine from University of Idaho, Master’s Degree in Secondary Education from University of Phoenix, and an Educational Leadership doctorate from the University of Southern California. Melia has presented to numerous audiences over the years and holds a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt from the Council of Six Sigma.
Personal
Melia enjoys all forms of art, beach going, and walking and continues to donate blood to the Blood Bank of Hawaii for the last 13 years.
